Digital media has changed people’s thinking mode and behavior patterns, which force people’s minds to operate in fast speed. In this way, visual and auditory stimuli are extremely magnified, while bodies become less and less important and finally turn into a tool supporting the movement of the brain, which separates people’s mind and body. Off-line Mode is a conceptual apparatus which requires the participation of the wearer’s body. Through creating an offline status of human and digital media, the “useless body” will be activated. Then a paradoxical relationship with the convenience of digital media is created in a nearly-paradox manner, thus triggering people to ponder over how bodies should exist in the digital era.
